What is the impact of this development for individuals? What are the works to be carried out in 2023 and which benefit from state aid? Preservation of Energy Heritage takes stock of the situation to date.
Increased aid in 2023, particularly for comprehensive renovation work
In a context where energy is more than ever a major issue and a concern for the French, it has never been so important to have high-performance housing. Energy renovation work is a strong response to this challenge and to reducing the carbon footprint of housing.
From February 1, 2023, the amounts of work that can be financed via MaPrimeRénov' will be increased to take into account the price increase and promote overall renovations. The ceilings will thus be raised from €30.000 to €35.000.
This change in aid aims to encourage individuals to carry out their overall renovation projects, but the allocated budget is still low given the challenge of energy transition.
Beyond the MaPrimeRénov' system, the CEE bonus (Energy Savings Certificates) also called Energy Bonus should increase for the benefit of individuals this year.
For Sébastien Vernay, Managing Director of Energy Heritage Preservation: "In view of the increase in the obligation, and the delay observed in 2022, the CEE market should regain its momentum in 2023. Thus, aid for individuals should increase and we can hope to see more initiatives such as those of the Coup de Boost Fioul bonus which promotes the Coup de Pouce Heating already in place. »
What changes in January 2023:
- Landlords who undertake energy renovation work to remove their property from classes G, F and E benefit from a tax advantage and can thus deduct the cost of their energy renovation work from their income. To encourage work, this land deficit has doubled, going from €10.700 to €21.400.
- As of January 1, 2023, housing in mainland France whose annual final energy consumption exceeds 450 kWh/m² of living space is prohibited from being rented. This concerns 90.000 homes in France which are prohibited from being rented.
Preservation of Energy Heritage, partner for energy renovation
While 9 out of 10 French people say they want to carry out renovation work[1], there are many who do not take action because of the investment required but also because of the complexity of the market and the multiplicity actors during a renovation course. To respond to this concern, Preservation du Patrimoine has created its energy subsidiary. From the energy diagnosis to the administrative procedures, including eligibility for financial aid, individuals are supported from A to Z with a single point of contact, an expert in energy renovation, also in charge and guarantor of the follow-up of the work until at the end of the project.
The Heritage Preservation Energy activity is involved in all renovation work aimed at saving energy in private homes, in particular via photovoltaics (solar panels) and aerothermal energy (heat pumps). In 2022, Préservation du Patrimoine thus enabled its customers to save more than €1.889.000 on their annual bill (i.e. €850 in annual savings on average per household and per year) and the work carried out has made it possible to to avoid more than 18.000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
For Sebastien Vernay: “We have noticed that individuals encounter difficulties when they want to carry out work. Which address ? How to benefit from aid? How to ensure the quality of the work? Getting started can be a real challenge. We launched our offer to answer these questions. We advise individuals on the work to be carried out, we also take care of the administrative tasks necessary for them to receive the aid. The energy renovation projects carried out by Préservation du Patrimoine thus benefited from €426.400 in bonuses (via MaPrimeRénov' and CEE bonuses) that we donated to individuals. After the installation of our products, we also monitor the performance of the installations. »
