Faced with the acceleration of environmental regulations in the construction sector (RE2020, AGEC law, expanded REP PMCB), the requirements and needs of players in the sector have strengthened to meet the challenges it imposes: sustainable supply, rates reuse, reuse, recycling, integration of low-carbon materials, eco-design of buildings, traceability of waste... It is a question of changing the paradigm and quickly. Although strongly encouraged by regulations, these multiple issues lead to the multiplication of contacts who are already difficult to identify and the initial ambitions can sometimes fail to find an outlet.
For Stéphane Le Guirriec, Agyre Managing Director: “The circular economy is the mobilization at Agyre of 9 pillars, including waste management served by a systemic approach. In our daily Circular Economy Project Management Assistance activities, we must find methods of valorization for all Products, Equipment, Materials and Waste (PEMD) generated by a project and identified via a PEMD diagnosis carried out upstream of all operations. Following the PEMD diagnostics, we carry out territory and sector diagnostics in order to find the right contacts and co-organize the careful drop-off. Having at our side a partner specializing in the valorization of PEMDs is the ideal way to offer a turnkey offer to our customers and thus to streamline our interventions in a very operational manner. »
Created in 2019, Tri'n'Collect set itself the objective of optimizing waste management on construction sites not only in order to help construction stakeholders meet regulations, but also in order to propose an intervention aimed at limit the costs, operational constraints and environmental impact of the project. The company thus supports construction professionals with innovative solutions for sorting at source, collection and recycling – all with a recovery objective of more than 90% on each site.
For Edouard LEFEVRE partner and co-founder of Tri'n'Collect: “Through 18 agencies spread across the western half of the national territory, including Ile de France, we offer a tailor-made service for sorting, collecting and recovering construction waste. We fully manage PEMs, for example, from delivery to their recovery including the creation of their traceability sheet. This partnership with Agyre will allow us to become more efficient in the quantification and management of waste. With a diagnosis carried out upstream on all the PEMDs present on a site, this is valuable time saved for our teams but also better qualification of the PEMDs and therefore greater valorization thanks to potentially more relevant outlets. »
Agyre, for its part, supports construction players in integrating a circular economy approach into their projects. This implementation is based on an evaluation of the ambitions of the project, its actors and the territory in order to identify and activate all the levers for the implementation of more virtuous practices (reuse sectors, diversity of constructive solutions , eco-designed building, reversibility, biomimicry, etc.).
Agyre intervenes, from the project phase to delivery of the building, through varied services ranging from PEMD diagnosis to training, including support in drafting the DCE, site monitoring, etc.
Complementary, Agyre and Tri'n'Collect therefore offer a turnkey offer for any construction, rehabilitation, renovation and deconstruction project, wishing to embark on a circular economy approach. Concretely, together, the two entities will offer the following solutions:
- Carrying out PEMD diagnostics and initial CERFA,
- Validation of PEMD quantities and the careful removal protocol,
- Definition of circular economy objectives for an operation,
- Circular economy recommendations to be integrated into DCEs and assistance in drafting written documents,
- Assistance in the selection of work companies,
- Circular economy site monitoring and awareness raising of MOA and MOE teams on the circular economy,
- Monitoring the removal and implementation of sorting and packaging devices, collection and certification of PEMD,
- Waste traceability approach and PEM ex situ reuse and final CERFA,
- Approach to monitoring the circular economy, in situ and input reuse,
- Assessment and feedback.
An operational partnership already underway on a major project in Eure-et-Loir: the energy renovation of several educational establishments alongside Bouygues Bâtiment. Carrying out PEMD diagnostics, setting up a reuse approach, valorization of deposits, activation of local sectors, creation of synergies between the different establishments and assistance to Project Management throughout the project.
An operation which generates on average 110 tonnes of waste per college. This waste is primarily reused on site or off site or, when reuse is not possible, selectively sorted and recycled in local sectors. On the first college under construction, 340 lighting fixtures were able to be reused in situ, 1.100 m² of false ceiling frames intended for removal were preserved or even 145 tonnes of rolled gravel reused ex-situ by a local company. The first operation also enabled local associations to benefit from available resources via the donation of furniture (lockers, laboratory benches, platforms).
With a national scope, the alliance of the expertise of Agyre and Tri'n'Collect aims to intensify the circular economy and to benefit, in turn, the entire chain of actors, in the sector which produces the most of waste in France.
