Eco-renovation at the service of energy sobriety
Eco-renovation is a mixture of two processes which makes it possible both to offer technical products whose performance makes it possible to limit heat loss and improve the energy consumption of a building (insulation, heating system, ventilation ), while having low-carbon manufacturing characteristics. And also to take into account the well-being of the inhabitants in their housing.
For illustration, Acorus took care of the construction site of the RIVP (second Parisian social landlord with more than 60.000 social housing units in management), in the 14th arrondissement of the capital. The package of works consisted of Plan Climat thermal rehabilitation in an occupied environment of an R+7 apartment building (and cellars) made up of housing and artists' studios, i.e. approximately 70 tenants. Acorus has carried out a global and efficient renovation allowing considerable energy savings to be obtained from the building, by activating all the trades levers possible:
- External thermal insulation, mainly in rock wool, was implemented on the entire building envelope (walls, flat roofs, sloped roof slopes and floors in the basement). Consumption target after works: Cep = 103 kWhep/m2 shon.year (class C), against 206 kWhep/m2 shon.year (class D) before works.
- Replacement of exterior joinery with new double glazing and aluminum frames for the common parts and wooden ones for the balconies.
- The cover of the crawlers has been completely replaced in natural slate.
- Installation of a more efficient ventilation system.
- Installation of a more economical heating system with radiator control.
- Replacement of less energy-consuming and automatic extinguishing luminaires.
At the same time, other work has been undertaken to improve tenant comfort:
- The balcony railings have been offset so as not to lose space (taken up by adding insulation)
- The carpentry has been stripped bare outside the building to free up interior space in the accommodation
- The ventilation air inlets have been reinforced to reduce noise pollution from outside
- Redesign of green spaces (insect hotels, bird perches)
In addition, Acorus had an Environment AMO which noted, among other things, the organization of the site and its impact on the environment (consumption of water, electricity, sorting of waste, anti-pollution kit, etc. ).
For Philippe Benquet, Chairman of the Acorus Group: “We are very proud of this Climate Plan thermal rehabilitation for the city of Paris, which respects the existing while serving to improve the architecture and the quality of use. Thanks to the energy savings that they allow to achieve, the maintenance, renovation and rehabilitation solutions installed daily by our 850 technicians, constitute savings on the energy consumption of housing. »
