ABB solutions in the Château de Ferrières, a 5-star contract

The renovation and restoration of this chateau, launched in 2015 for a budget of 20 million euros, was followed by a second phase including the commissioning of an annex building during 2016. Emblematic, the Château, specializing in hotels, gastronomy and luxury, now hosts prestigious events and attracts media attention: the renovation of the site has been the subject of several television reports, the Château is fully booked at year round. The two restaurants known for their delicious dishes also attract a regular business clientele, and many tourists.

ABB was chosen by Accelis as the main technical partner for the renovation project. The investment and real estate group Accelis is known for its interventions in such projects and will remain in charge of the management of the château. Accelis called on ABB to offer a complete low and high voltage solution and to support partners in meeting the project requirements.

ABB notably supplied power distribution, lightning protection systems, security lighting, an access control system accessible via the Internet as well as complete management of interior and exterior lighting using KNX. “The centralization of commands and time programs from the KNX touch screen makes it possible to easily monitor and control the installation. Temporary or permanent derogations are also possible without the intervention of a specialist, ”specifies Philippe Palluel, Ile de France Projects Manager.

Thanks to the collaboration with the various technical stakeholders, ABB was also able to propose technical developments according to new needs. The flexibility of the KNX installation in particular allowing additional work to be carried out easily and at low cost, such as the management of fountains in the gardens and the optimization of lighting scenarios for exterior facades.
