A Kebony wooden pool deck in Salles-sur-Mer

This Kebony wooden terrace is located in a residential area of ​​Salles-sur-Mer, 12 kilometers from La Rochelle and 3 kilometers from Châtelaillon-Plage. A couple and their two children aged 14 and 7 live year round in this contemporary house. The swimming pool is a major asset, and this new terrace offers privileged and secure access to it.

The combinations of colors between facade and terrace have been carefully considered. The rendering of this Kebony wooden terrace is very pleasant. It brings depth and offers superb spaces to enjoy the swimming pool, while preserving a place to take meals, as well as a relaxation area around the pool. »

The Kebony wooden terrace extends the existing travertine terrace. It frames the pool and joins a patch of grass. The quality of the wood and its silver hue harmoniously connect the different elements of this exterior.

The patented Kebony process consists of polymerizing the cell wall of softwoods from sustainable sources, by heating them with furfuryl alcohol – a product of organic origin. This is how it acquires all the qualities of tropical hardwood, while remaining environmentally friendly. Kebony wood is therefore durable and resistant, even in maritime climates. It does not require any particular maintenance and does not produce splinters, which was a size criterion for this family with children. The old terrace, despite a class 4 treated pine, indeed presented splinters, painful for barefoot traffic around the pool.

Convinced of the quality and longevity of Kebony wood, and seduced by its aesthetic without screws which combines perfectly with stone, the couple opted for this material and have never ceased to be satisfied with it ever since.
