The wood of the Kebony Clear terrace boards on invisible fixing by Grad © combines both with the striped porcelain stoneware that surrounds the swimming pool and interweaves with the boards of the terrace, with the landscaped lines of the green spaces, and with the contemporary look of the architect's house. The Kebony wooden terrace acts as a common thread between all these elements thanks to its clean lines, its patinated color, its absence of knots, its installation without visible screws and its 30-year warranty, all criteria that have seduced the owners. as well as the architect in charge of the landscaping project.
Whether on its technical or aesthetic characteristics, Kebony wood fully corresponded to the architectural project of this house located less than 500 meters from the sea. Its vertical lines of wood and zinc resonate with the gray patina of the wood of the terrace, which is resistant to spray and does not require special maintenance. The Burger Grad blades are ideal for a humid environment, as is the case here with the swimming pool. The installation system allows for ideal ventilation. The terrace is surrounded by natural stones which facilitate the maintenance of the lawn without damaging the blades, and allow to enjoy the terrace and the lawn without discontinuity of level. Finally, an exotic plant background has been created. This space, day and night, is accentuated by the layout, the lines of the Kebony and porcelain stoneware slats, creating a graphic perspective from the house.
Kebony technology
Kebony technology is a patented production process that improves the properties of softwoods to give them characteristics comparable to those of exotic woods. Thanks to an environmentally friendly process, the woods are impregnated with a biological liquid from agricultural crop waste. By heating the wood, the furfuryl polymers are impregnated in the cell walls of the wood, which increases its durability and dimensional stability, without sacrificing its aesthetics.
