Built with Kebony, the global expert in sustainable wood production, the Tubmarine hot tub brings the versatility and aesthetics of Norwegian wood to any home, without harming the environment. Easy to use, this spa is ready to use in less than two hours. It does not require any electricity since it is powered by its integrated wood stove. The Tubmarine allows you to enjoy the outdoors in all seasons. It offers a moment of relaxation while respecting the environment, thanks to natural energy sources and sustainable avant-garde materials.
The Tubmarine is designed with sustainability in mind: ecological, it is designed to have a long lifespan. Kebony was the only wood selected to clad this UK made spa. Its sleek design is made of high-quality, 80% recycled parts and materials, with premium wood reinforced with a stainless steel frame. The meeting of exceptional engineering and revolutionary technology results in a spa that is durable, pleasing to the eye and blends into its natural environment.
The Tubmarine spa benefits from the pioneering technology of the Kebony brand in terms of wood treatment. This gives sustainably sourced softwoods stability and great resistance to the test of time, allowing Tubmarine to have minimal impact on the environment. Kebony wood is weather resistant, retaining its unique look as it ages, until it acquires a beautiful silver-grey patina. The spa is easy to maintain and durable over time: delivered with a 10-year guarantee, it does not require any treatment of the wood.
The Tubmarine is now available in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia, giving more and more owners access to luxurious, award-winning spas. Priced from £10 including tax, the spa is available in two sizes: a module for two people and a larger module that can accommodate up to five people. Revolutionizing the market, this sustainable spa paves the way for a new approach to luxury, which respects the environment and responds directly to the need to make a transition to ecological products, both for the home and for outdoor spaces.
Chris Gallez, Founder of Tubmarine, says: “When I created the Tubmarine spa, I realized that I had to use a wood that would complement the strength of stainless steel. I needed a hard and durable wood. After much research, I discovered Kebony, which met all the requirements: durable, stable, ecological and aesthetic. This wood really contributes to the elegance of the spa and I am delighted with the result. »
Nina Landbø, Director of International Sales at Kebony, adds: “As awareness of the impacts of climate change increases, the demand for environmentally friendly products continues to grow. The Tubmarine hot tub offers a perfect solution for homeowners looking to ensure their lifestyle is as eco-friendly as possible, while still maintaining that luxury and leisure spirit. »
“This movement towards sustainability is a trend we have seen over the past year and is expected to accelerate further in 2022 as more and more people turn to sustainable materials such as Kebony wood”, she concludes.
Kebony is a real, high-end, ecological and durable wood, used in many outdoor applications: decking, cladding, roofing and furniture.
Kebony technology is a patented production process that improves the properties of softwoods to give them characteristics comparable to those of exotic woods. Thanks to an environmentally friendly process, the woods are impregnated with an organic liquid from agricultural crop waste. By heating the wood, the furfuryl polymers are impregnated into the cell walls of the wood, increasing its density and dimensional stability, and giving it a dark brown color similar to a tropical wood. The company's global headquarters are based in Oslo, Norway, and its production sites are located in Skien, south of Oslo and Antwerp in Belgium.
