A versatile platform for welcoming young people during training

Open to all car enthusiasts, the first objective of Jem Club is to allow everyone to come together with respect for others and in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

To bring modernity and dynamism, Tarkett recommended PVC slats Id Inspiration 70 and 55 for covering the 460 m² of passage areas, as well as Tapiflex Escalier and Excellence for the stairs. These products with natural accents and colors meet the demand of the project management and adapt to this busy place.

The contracting authority's point of view

Jean-Pierre Liset, manager of the Jem Club d'Antony has solid experience in motor racing and a keen sense of challenge. He wanted to open his workshop-restaurant to young people undergoing training and looking for a job for an essential reason: to create a multi-generational link where applicants and professionals meet in a dynamic environment, driven by the spirit of competition.
Driven by the educational concept for motorsports, it wishes in this context to make these “men's” professions more accessible for women by directing them towards professions related to the automobile.

The Jem Club has a workshop on the ground floor where vintage touring and competition cars are maintained and restored. On the first floor, it welcomes around XNUMX people for lunch for lunch. It is in this versatile environment that young people in training, workers and car enthusiasts meet.

Regarding the floor, Jean-Pierre Liset appreciated the discussions with Tarkett, which made it possible to select floor coverings in line with the spirit of the place, materials evoking natural wood and colors that are both neutral and contemporary.

“ID Inspiration and Tapiflex aesthetically correspond perfectly to what we wanted to give as a“ soul ”to this place and offer the advantage of being solid and easy-to-maintain products, two essential qualities for this place with high traffic. We solicited the opinion of our customers who are delighted with this achievement, each feeling this warm and relaxed atmosphere that was close to our hearts. Complicity between wall and floor with a graphic, simple and dynamic decor

Marc Jitiaux, Interior designer was responsible for orchestrating the implementation of the Jem Club :

“The color schemes and the wood decor of the place deliberately mark a break between the world outside the craft area in which the Club is located and the intimate and friendly atmosphere that we wanted to give it. In the restaurant part, I chose to play on the complementarity of walls and floors with dynamic materials: polyrey panels in bright colors, associated with a plum floor in the staircase and a covering with graphic reading with iD Inspiration installed in point of Hungary in the restaurant part.

The Hungarian point layout makes it possible to find a traditional motif in an atypical place, which refers to the anchoring of this restaurant workshop in the passion for the mechanics of vintage cars. The quality of the Tarkett coating allowed us to easily work on this drawing, placed at 45 ° to the wall, with the two iD Inspiration colors.

This product is interesting because its wooden structure interacts with light and influences the perception of space. The colors are deep and warm giving an authentic and very qualitative aspect. 100% recyclable, it is technically robust and easy to maintain, an essential asset in a high traffic area.

In the staircase and on the landing we used Tapiflex Escalier and Tapiflex Excellence, compact coverings with excellent resistance to noise pollution. These are products that we use regularly because they perfectly meet technical constraints while being easy to install. They are also very easy to maintain thanks to the TopClean treatment which considerably reduces soil fouling and is scratch resistant. Tapiflex Escalier meets the most demanding standards to which the contracting authorities are subject and by its design ensures the best guarantee of safety in the stairs. We were particularly supported by Tarkett, which invested in this project, the social scope of which corresponds to its ethics. The result is aesthetically convincing and is already meeting with great success on the human level with numerous meetings between professionals and students. ”
