An innovative project, in a region steeped in tradition

Named “the Blue Island”, and imagined by the architect Bernard Saillol, this crèche is one of the only constructions of its kind! The technical feat is considerable, since Bernard Saillol has chosen to build this building with roundness.

For this realization, the architect trusted IMERYS Toiture which knew how to share an ability to any test to build the whole surface in cladding blue terracotta tiles, reminiscent of the blue of the Mediterranean Sea. The architecture of this crèche is nothing traditional with its structure with rounded lines and a futuristic character. By opting for IMERYS Roofing cladding tiles, the architect was able to afford all the fancies of shapes and colors, the cladding offering unlimited architectural customization.

These tiles, designed, manufactured in the IMERYS Toiture de Phalempin factory and then enameled, combine by cladding, aesthetic advantages and technical performance thanks to the improvement of thermal and acoustic comfort (ITE).

A particularly ambitious choice for this color offering the crib a contemporary style which denotes the environment and the regional landscape of the village, used to more traditional architectures.
