The purpose of this agreement is to inform and raise the awareness of craft businesses in the construction and landscaping sector of the global challenges of road safety and to improve the practices of businesses and employees in the context of business travel as well as home-work journeys. .
In the pursuit of this objective, which is fully in line with the development of corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR), craft businesses, members of CAPEB and CNATP, will be able to benefit from awareness-raising actions in the field of occupational road risk prevention.
This new partnership agreement commits CAPEB, CNATP and IRIS-ST to continue their actions in favor of the prevention of road risks with craft businesses and their business leaders, while encouraging them to sign the 7 commitments to a safer road. The signatories will participate in the promotion of events organized by the DSR such as "days of road safety at work" and will propose specific safety messages to craft businesses in the construction and landscaping sector to be transmitted to employees by the most appropriate media. The CAPEB and the CNATP also undertake to promote the linking of the departmental CAPEBs and CNATPs with the decentralized services of the State in charge of the prevention of road insecurity in order to promote synergies between local actors in favor of prevention.
For its part, the Road Safety Delegation (DSR) undertakes to promote the partnership on its “Road Safety” site and to inform CAPEB, CNATP and IRIS-ST of communication campaigns for the general public. It will also disseminate the annual accident rate report and will regularly communicate statistical data on the subject to CAPEB, CNATP and IRIS-ST. Finally, the DSR will support the CAPEB, the CNATP and the IRIS-ST during events organized by the signatories around the theme of road safety and during the development of awareness-raising, information and/or training.
Jean-Christophe Repon, President of CAPEB and Iris-st: “By signing this agreement, the objective of which is to inform and raise awareness of road safety issues, CAPEB reaffirms its commitment to a safer road. Employees and managers of construction companies are indeed called upon to drive regularly as part of their activity and it is essential that these journeys be made in complete safety, on a daily basis. I welcome this new quadripartite agreement, which marks the continuity of our dynamic consisting of coordinated, transversal and innovative work. »
Françoise Despret, President of the CNATP: “Road risk remains a major risk in our public works and landscaping professions when traveling to our worksites on a daily basis. This partnership thus reinforces CNATP's support for its companies and will help company managers to implement specific prevention measures, to acquire good reflexes and to disseminate prevention messages around road risk to their collaborators. »
Florence Guillaume, interministerial delegate for road safety: “Business leaders and employees of Capeb and CNATP member companies are absolutely essential partners for road safety. All these professions are very concerned by professional road travel. This convention will be a great tool to reach and raise awareness among these particularly exposed audiences. »
