Double flow CMV, an essential element in renovation

With the rise of renovation projects aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes, air management is a major challenge in ensuring optimal indoor comfort and energy savings. Dual-flow ventilation is therefore becoming an essential element thanks to its many advantages:

• evacuation of humidity to the outside, thus preventing the risk of mold in well-insulated homes,
• continuous filtration of incoming air, improving indoor air quality (limits cumulative and chronic exposure to CO2, formaldehyde, particles, etc.),
• even distribution of heat in the home,
• participation in energy savings through heat recovery, to compensate for losses (hot/cold) linked to air renewal.

However, although the double flow CMV is an excellent solution, its implementation in certain renovation projects can prove to be:

• complex to implement, due to the reservations and available space required for the network and the ventilation unit,
• expensive, if the unit is oversized compared to the flow rate required for small areas, such as, for example, light leisure homes with an area of ​​less than 50m².

With a flow rate of 110 m3/h, Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100 is ideal for renovating small spaces (studio, two-room apartment) but also for extension projects and light housing.

Semi-decentralized and requiring only a very limited secondary network to operate, it constitutes an alternative double-flow ventilation solution that is simpler to implement, with a competitive budget envelope for this air flow (110m3/h).

Versatility and ease of installation

The Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100 unit stands out for its great installation flexibility, offering three possible configurations suitable for different types of projects:

• wall mounting, visible, with the possibility of tilting under the slopes
• wall mounting, recessed into the insulation, for discreet integration of the unit
• ceiling installation

Its compact dimensions (L 465 x H 821 x D 216 mm) make it easy to integrate.

The air distribution system offers practical solutions for installation such as:

• removable connections between the unit and the air distribution in CK 150/300,
• choice of an air distribution box with or without silencer.

To facilitate implementation, the air intake is made by drilling directly into the wall, on a standardized diameter. In order to preserve the aesthetics of the building facade, the stale air and the fresh air are conveyed by a single combined external wall grille (with very low recirculation), Zehnder ComfoEdge Dupla.

The integrated enthalpy heat exchanger ensures heat and moisture recovery, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate while eliminating the need for condensate drainage. This reduces the number of connections required for installation, particularly when installed in ceilings or under eaves, and simplifies maintenance. The exchanger is manufactured by CORE, a Zehnder brand.
