Vinci benefits from the dynamics of the energy and motorway concession markets

Sales rose 3,8% to 16,3 billion euros, according to a press release published Thursday.

Vinci will be led from May 1 by Pierre Anjolras, who takes up his duties as CEO, while its CEO Xavier Huillard, who has completely transformed the group in 20 years, will remain chairman of the board of directors.

Driven by international activity, energy services activity increased by 5,8% to 6,6 billion euros.

"This start to 2025 confirms the strong positioning of Vinci Energies and Cobra IS companies in dynamic markets, driven by the energy transition and digital transformation," the group emphasizes. "Added to these promising trends are the positive effects of Vinci Energies' recurring external growth to strengthen its geographical reach and expertise."

Motorway concession activity increased by 8,2% to 2,5 billion euros and that of Vinci Autoroutes (which only concerns France) by 3,8% to 1,4 billion euros.

Vinci Airports jumped 11,9% to €980 million, "driven by the dynamism of low-cost airlines." Vinci Airports platforms welcomed nearly 73 million passengers in the first quarter (+1%).

Finally, Vinci Construction, the group's long-standing branch, saw a slight increase to €7,1 billion (+0,8%). Internationally, which represents 53% of the total, business grew by +1,8% "thanks to the contribution of recent acquisitions in the United Kingdom and North America."

In France (47% of the total), activity is almost stable (-0,2%), driven by road works and networks (hydraulic works, railway works), while civil engineering is declining, as is construction, due to "the difficulties in the real estate sector", indicates Vinci.

Vinci Immobilier continues to suffer, with a decline of 5,3% to 235 million euros.

"In a still-depressed real estate market in France, housing reservations (701 lots) show an 8% drop in value, due in part to a postponement to the second quarter of 2 of several block sales transactions," the group explains.

In terms of outlook, Vinci states that "in the current particularly troubled circumstances, Vinci's 'multi-local' model gives it agility, resilience and the ability to adapt to market developments."
