In recent weeks, 53 additional charging points have been put into service - including 38 ultra-fast - in 11 areas, as well as in the Orléans Nord carpool car park. Managed and operated by VINCI Autoroutes or its commercial partners, these new terminals, available 24/7, are compatible with all types of vehicles. They increase the density of the VINCI Autoroutes network which, with 348 charging points in service at 99 rest areas, is today the best-equipped motorway network in France. All of these new charging points are geolocated on the Ulys application, which now lists more than 33 terminals in France. The payment of the recharge is possible at the act.
Charging stations in service at nearly two-thirds of service areas on the VINCI Autoroutes network
Continuing to roll out electric terminals on its network, VINCI Autoroutes has commissioned 2021 new charging points since the end of 53, spread over the following 12 sites:
- around the Mediterranean:
- on the A7: Lançon-de-Provence East and West (including 4 ultra-fast points) as well as Sorgues (including 6 ultra-fast points, > 150 kW);
- on the A9: Narbonne Vinassan-Nord (including 6 ultra-fast points) as well as Béziers Montblanc Sud and Nord (with a terminal of 50 kW each);
- on the A10, towards the Atlantic coast: Poitou-Charentes Nord (including 4 ultra-fast points) as well as Val Neuvy (a 50 kW terminal). In addition to these areas, there is the Orléans Nord carpool car park, which has 6 ultra-fast points;
- in the Centre-Val de Loire region (A71): Bourges Sainte-Thorette (including two ultra-fast) and Chaumont-sur-Tharonne (a 50 kW terminal);
- the Bruche rest area, on the new Western Bypass of Strasbourg, with in particular 6 ultra-fast charging points.
Each of the electric stations offers at least one universal charging point with three connectors (type 2, combo 2 and CHAdeMO) suitable for all vehicles – in order to charge all types of electric vehicles currently in circulation. Available 24 hours a day, 24 days a week, they offer telephone assistance to support users who need it.
Payment is made, at your choice, either by prepaid card or badge via one of the main mobility operators offering subscriptions in France or Europe, or by deed, by credit card for terminals displaying the VINCI Autoroutes logo, or by smartphone for the terminals of the partners present in the areas.
A new step in the densification of the electrical network on the VINCI Autoroutes network
The network of charging stations is deployed in conjunction with specialized operators and commercial brands in the service areas. To date, it offers 348 charging points installed at 99 service areas (i.e. nearly 6 areas out of 10 already equipped). VINCI Autoroutes has set itself the goal of equipping 100% of service areas in its network by 2023.
The installation of these new terminals illustrates VINCI Autoroutes' desire to actively contribute to the decarbonization of road use in order to reduce the carbon footprint of the transport sector. By multiplying the number of charging stations on its network, VINCI Autoroutes wishes to provide quality service to motorists who have opted – or wish to do so – for electric, both for urban journeys and for medium and long distance journeys. .
