Viessmann presents its new generation of intelligent heat pumps

With this solution, the company is also introducing its innovative Viessmann One Base Intelligence platform.

This new generation heat pump combines technological intelligence and high efficiency, making it an ideal choice for new construction and renovation projects, where quality and value for money play a key role.

The Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy enables access to connected energy systems – without compromising on quality, performance and scalability.

Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy: technically flexible, designed for extensive use

The Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy is a monobloc air/water heat pump with second-generation natural refrigerant R290 (GWP 0,02), designed for both new construction and renovation.

With an energy rating of A+++, it is available in a power range from 4 to 12 kW. With its starting temperature of 75°C, it is particularly suitable for installations with existing radiators (down to -10°C outside).

It also stands out for its acoustic performance, displaying 54 to 56 dB(A) in silent operation, guaranteeing an excellent balance between performance and comfort.

The Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy unit is characterized by its ease of installation. Compact, with a single fan up to size 12, it is offered in a Euro pallet-compatible format for simplified transport. Similarly, its outdoor units are designed to be lighter (90 to 118 kg).

The new indoor units (Modular, Comfort, Hybrid, Compact) already integrate the hydraulic components and, depending on the versions, the hot water tank.
The electric heating element and pump are directly incorporated into the outdoor unit, further reducing installation time for installers.

We should also highlight another new feature of the Vitocal 200-A: the Universal Controller intelligent energy, which can serve as a heat pump regulator as well as an independent energy management system. It also allows for the integration of third-party systems (e.g., photovoltaics).

With the Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy, Viessmann is also introducing its new One Base Intelligence software and electronics platform, intended for all future products.

The suffix “ie” (intelligent energy) now identifies all systems based on this platform.

The objective is to have a unified and scalable system intelligence capable of controlling all energy components, whether it be heat pumps, photovoltaic sensors, energy storage or electric vehicle charging.

A fully connected system

From the moment it is put into service, the Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy is natively connected and fully integrates Viessmann Energy Management.

The ViCare application stands out as synonymous with simple control of the heating system, with dynamic optimization of electricity tariffs and the possibility of selecting, from a drop-down menu, one's energy supplier.

Note that the ViGuide professional tool is also evolving with simplified commissioning, easier cascading management and the integrated functionality of remote diagnostics.

This connectivity is also a major asset for professionals, paving the way for predictive maintenance. It allows for continuous monitoring of system performance, facilitating the early detection of malfunctions and the optimization of interventions, while strengthening continuity and quality of service for users.
