Urbanit Jouplast construction site: Permeable design of a parking lot in La Calmette, Gard

As part of the development of the Super U parking lot in La Calmette (30), a sustainable and efficient solution was implemented with URBANIT® plates for JOUPLAST® paving stones, promoting soil permeability and optimized rainwater management.

This project is part of a responsible development approach, reconciling technical performance, sustainability, and environmental integration. It concretely illustrates the value of long-term solutions that address current challenges of soil de-sealing and stormwater management in urban areas, while ensuring a surface that is both aesthetically pleasing and usable.

Made in France from 100% recycled material, URBANIT® JOUPLAST® panels are designed for creating permeable spaces. This range meets the regulatory requirements of the Climate and Resilience Law, which notably requires owners of parking lots for public access buildings (ERP) larger than 500 m² to make at least 50% of the surface permeable to promote rainwater infiltration.

Suitable for all types of construction sites, public or private (parking lots, access roads, pedestrian walkways, garage driveways, etc.), URBANIT® JOUPLAST® panels effectively contribute to reducing runoff and the risk of flooding. They promote rainwater infiltration and help mitigate urban heat islands by increasing permeable and vegetated surfaces.

Suitable for use with paving stones, gravel, or vegetation, URBANIT® panels are easy to assemble thanks to their integrated interlocking system. This allows for the creation of multi-material spaces: 100% paving stones, a mix of paving stones and gravel, paving stones and vegetation, etc.

New: URBANIT® 6 paving slabs and URBANIT® gravel slabs are now available in white, expanding the design and finishing possibilities for outdoor spaces.

Create paved areas

Designed to accommodate 15 x 15 x 6 cm paving stones, URBANIT® JOUPLAST® paving stone plates are available in 6 paving stone versions (straight or staggered installation) and 3 paving stone versions.

Ensuring good water infiltration over the entire surface area, they allow the passage of vehicles with an axle load of 20 tonnes and lend themselves to creative paving patterns thanks to the use of paving stones of different colours.

Made from 100% recycled polyolefin and compatible with URBANIT® gravel and plant slabs JOUPLAST®, they allow for the sustainable creation of stable, resistant and permeable surfaces.

Create gravel spaces

Composed of specific cells to be filled with crushed gravel with a grain size between 5 and 16 mm, the URBANIT® JOUPLAST® gravel stabilizing plate allows for the creation of a permeable and drivable surface that does not generate puddles, runoff, or ruts. Its structure is designed to absorb the effects of expansion, thus preventing any lifting.

Ideal for designing high-quality urban developments, it guarantees a gravel surface of constant thickness and can support up to 1000 tonnes/m² once filled.

Made from 100% recycled polyolefin, it is compatible with URBANIT® paving slabs and/or JOUPLAST® plants, allowing for the creation of mixed and modular layouts.

Create green spaces

The URBANIT® JOUPLAST® plant consolidation plate facilitates the creation of permeable vegetated surfaces: car parks and access roads for light vehicles, fire access, pedestrian walkways…

With a thickness of 6 cm and a compressive strength of 1000 tonnes/m², it contributes to the reduction of urban heat islands.

Made from 100% recycled polyethylene, the plant consolidation plate promotes dense and even plant growth, while preserving the natural infiltration of water into the soil.

It is compatible with URBANIT® paving slabs and/or JOUPLAST® gravel slabs, allowing for the creation of mixed landscaping.

URBANIT® Accessories

JOUPLAST® also offers black or white marking plugs compatible with URBANIT® gravel and URBANIT® plant mats. These plugs allow for the easy creation of separation or ground marking lines by inserting directly into the mats.

Resistant to UV and frost, they guarantee optimal durability and contribute to the visual structuring of the layouts.
