UNICEM confirms its governance structure to prepare for the major events of 2027

The mandates of Alain Plantier, president of UNICEM and of the National Union of Aggregate Producers (UNPG), as well as of Jean-Marie Modica, president of the National Union of Ready-Mix Concrete (SNBPE), are thus extended until December 31, 2027.

This decision reflects the desire of the governing bodies to continue the actions undertaken for the benefit of companies in the sector, in a context marked by major challenges of ecological transition, industrial sovereignty, administrative simplification and the acceptability of extractive and industrial activities.

A confirmed roadmap

The priorities remain unchanged.

UNICEM will continue its efforts to promote greater recognition of the strategic role of mineral materials in construction, land development and the ecological transition.

The federation will also continue to advocate an approach based on the overall performance of structures, the complementarity of construction solutions, the proximity of resources, the development of the circular economy and the decarbonization of materials.

Work undertaken to recognize voluntary initiatives by companies, particularly the Mineral Industries CSR Label, as well as actions aimed at promoting the acceptability of projects and securing access to mineral resources, will remain at the heart of priorities.

To represent the industry's voice during the presidential election

The year 2027 will be a major milestone for the profession with the presidential election.

In this perspective, UNICEM will develop and promote, alongside its professional unions, proposals intended to contribute to the public debate on the major issues of housing, reindustrialization, adaptation to climate change, resource sovereignty and ecological transition.

The federation wishes to reiterate that mineral materials are an essential condition for the success of public policies and that they must be fully integrated into discussions about the future of territories.
