An industry destined to unite

With nearly 12.000 operators and several professional organizations, the profession remains fragmented today, at the risk of weakening its ability to influence decisions.

The message sent by the public authorities is unambiguous: the industry must speak with one voice.

The Alliance, a process already underway

The Alliance for Real Estate Diagnostics has already concretely initiated this dynamic.

Born from the voluntary merger of CDI FNAIM and FIDI, two long-established organizations in the sector, the Alliance has chosen to move beyond internal divisions and present a unified voice. This strategic decision, implemented in less than a year, reflects a spirit of collective responsibility.

This approach embodies a conviction: faced with current challenges, the general interest of the profession must take precedence over particular interests.

Today, the Alliance brings together nearly 1.000 diagnosticians, from independent professionals to regional groups and structured networks, and is the only representative organization covering all profiles of the profession.

It is also the only declared professional organization governed by the 1884 law authorized to sit in joint bodies (employment, training, social), which gives it a capacity for concrete action in the structuring of the sector.

A pragmatic approach grounded in reality

The Alliance approaches these meetings with a clear mindset: to build, to propose, to act.

For Lionel Janot, co-president of the Real Estate Diagnostics Alliance: “These conferences represent a unique opportunity to build something lasting for our profession. We come here with serenity and ambition, without posturing, with the conviction that what unites us is stronger than what divides us. Our profession is essential, but still insufficiently recognized. This event can constitute a real turning point to strengthen its visibility and legitimacy.”

According to Philippe Champiot, co-president of the Alliance du Diagnostic Immobilier: “We have already made a strong choice by bringing together two historic organizations to speak with one voice. This approach has taught us one essential thing: unity cannot be decreed, it is built through action. Today, it is time to move beyond posturing and talk about the reality on the ground, that of independent diagnosticians as well as regional groups and networks.”

For a unifying, legitimate and effective structure

For the Alliance, the issue is not so much the form as the legitimacy. It advocates the establishment of a single federative structure, built around clear governance rules, real representation of stakeholders and a balanced voting system.

The objective: to bring together legitimate organizations within a confederation capable of effectively representing the voice of the sector.

For Lionel Janot: "What we are advocating is not a merger that erases identities, but an organization that brings them together to exert collective influence. The profession must equip itself with the means to influence regulations, certification, training, and the conditions of practice."

A sector that needs structuring to have more influence

Beyond representation issues, these conferences should help to lay the foundations for a more legible, more credible and more influential sector.

For the Real Estate Diagnostic Alliance, this is a pivotal moment: one where the profession can move from a fragmented logic to a collective organization capable of responding to future challenges.
