The mega-decree for simplification for local authorities has reached a significant first milestone. This draft decree, announced by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu at the 107th Congress of Mayors in November 2025, aims to simplify some thirty regulatory standards that complicate the daily work of local elected officials.
