Lhotellier welcomes 50 apprentices to prepare for the jobs of tomorrow

More than just training, the group is anticipating the skills it will need tomorrow to support the profound changes in the construction sector.

50 new talents expected by September 2026

From the start of the 2026 academic year, around fifty young people will join the teams of the Lhotellier Group under apprenticeship contracts lasting from 12 to 24 months, from CAP to engineering degree.

These apprentices will be involved in the core business areas of the group: construction, infrastructure and development, but also energy, environment, road industries, materials and real estate.

The group is looking for profiles with traditional skills, but also talents capable of supporting upcoming societal transformations such as the environmental transition, the digitalization of construction sites or energy optimization.

Apprenticeships: a strategic lever towards sustainable employment

For Lhotellier, apprenticeships represent an investment in the future. They allow for the transmission of technical skills, but also the internalization of the group's values: commitment, responsibility, and teamwork. By 2025, 60% of apprentices trained were hired on permanent contracts, confirming apprenticeships as a springboard to long-term employment.

For Léa Morin – STPA Engineering Cycle – on a permanent contract since September 2025: “My work-study program at Lhotellier allowed me to discover different professions, starting with surface dressing in Grandvilliers, before joining the public works teams at the STPA agency in Abbeville during my engineering studies. It was primarily the people I met along the way, and especially the support of my mentors, that guided me and allowed me to gradually build my career path, leading me to become an assistant site manager today.”

According to Frédéric Berthelot, Director of Public Works for the Côte d'Opale region: "Without a doubt, our future managers come from apprenticeship programs, and may already be working within the company."

A recognized HR policy

Deployed for several years, the Lhotellier Group's work-study policy is based on an organized approach, focused on skills development, the transmission of trades and local integration.

The quality of this commitment was recognized in 2025 by the awarding of the Apprenticeship Trophy, presented by the French Building Federation of Normandy and the MEDEF Normandy.
