The Zehnder Group is investing in its French factory in Vaux-Andigny for the mass production of its ranges of custom-made radiators.

The objective: to centralize European production of custom-made flat tube radiator ranges in order to capitalize on the site's recognized expertise and strengthen the group's industrial competitiveness in these high value-added segments.

Following significant investments in 2021 and 2022 to equip its Vaux-Andigny site with state-of-the-art surface treatment and painting lines, the Zehnder Group has chosen to invest around one million euros to modernize and transfer production lines from its Swiss site. This transfer concerns Acova's premium Altima and Clarian ranges, as well as their Zehnder equivalents intended for other European markets.

The art of mass production bespoke

Already recognized for its mastery of high-tech products, the French factory now becomes the only Zehnder site in Europe to manufacture custom-made flat tube radiators.

For the Altima range, the adaptations have been integrated into the existing lines, and retain all its specific features, including personalization with exceptional finishes.

The Clarian range, with its perpendicular tubes, numerous custom formats and heights often exceeding 1,50 m, required the installation of three new automated machines.

This transfer represents 30% additional production volume for the site.

French expertise geared towards the future

With over 100 years of history, the Vaux-Andigny site designs and manufactures:

• radiators and towel warmers with flat tubes (electric, hot water, mixed),
• electric aluminum radiators,
• Tailor-made solutions for specific projects.

The site is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified, and has a certified laboratory for electrical products. It employs 160 people.
