The Testo Group is investing in a new production unit in Portugal to strengthen its global supply chain

By bringing production closer to European markets, Testo reduces its transport-related carbon footprint, secures future supply for its customers and contributes to sustainable economic development in the region.

New production structures for greater stability

Located in Albergaria-a-Velha, 70 km south of Porto, Testo's new production site, with a total area of ​​21.000 m2, includes production and logistics areas as well as a research and development department.

It will thus become the third pillar of the group's production network alongside existing sites in Germany and China, in order to sustainably improve global supply security. The focus will be on specific product lines, depending on the evolution of US customs policy.

A rise in power by 2030

The production unit will employ around 30 people upon opening and is expected to accommodate around 200 people by 2030.

Thanks to its modular design, the site also offers long-term flexibility for future growth.

Testo in a few figures

Testo, headquartered in Titisee-Neustadt in the Upper Black Forest (Germany), has 37 subsidiaries worldwide, including one in France (Forbach). The group employs 3.500 people and generated revenue of €400 million in 2024.
