The Order of Chartered Surveyors and the DGFiP launch e-DA, a platform to digitalize land management

On December 19, the Order of Chartered Surveyors (OGE) and the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) signed the agreement to launch the e-DA platform, an innovative service developed to simplify and modernize exchanges between chartered surveyors and land registry services. This new platform promises to accelerate the digitalization of procedures related to land management.

E-DA: a new tool for land management 2.0

Essential for carrying out operations such as the division of land or the modification of property boundaries, the transmission of surveying documents is considered a complex and time-consuming process. The DGFiP and the OGE have therefore decided to combine their expertise to dematerialize these procedures. This innovation will reduce processing times and improve the quality of surveying documents while minimizing potential errors by automating control points.

E-DA guarantees reliable and fast processing of survey documents to streamline all processes related to land transactions, which will facilitate the acquisition or modification of property titles. This new platform will thus benefit all stakeholders involved in cadastral projects: land owners, land buyers or land management professionals.

A digitalization which is also part of the strengthening of the transparency of exchanges between land registry services and expert surveyors since each stage of the process can be analyzed.

An innovative and promising public/private partnership model

Another innovation lies in the very nature of the platform: e-DA is in fact a public service designed with entirely private funds. The Order of Chartered Surveyors invested 600.000 euros to develop this tool, which is now used throughout France. An example of very concrete collaboration between the private sector and the public administration that will serve the general interest while strengthening the efficiency of the public service.
