The Mirabeau Tower, a jewel of the Seine riverfront, is undergoing a renaissance.

This is not simply a superficial renovation. The building has been completely gutted, with only the original concrete structure retained, to make way for a completely redesigned project, functionally, environmentally, and aesthetically. With a total floor area of ​​37.880 m² (usable area: 37.340 m²), the Mirabeau Tower represents a textbook example of large-scale contemporary rehabilitation.

Mirabeau Tower: Expertise and innovation in façades offered by Reynaers Aluminium France

As part of this demanding project, Reynaers Aluminium France worked alongside Kyotec, a recognized specialist in the external envelope of buildings and complex projects.

As head of façade project specifications at Reynaers Aluminium France, Gaëtan Caron was directly involved in the rehabilitation of the Mirabeau Tower. Working from the outset of projects, he assists design offices in their design choices, ensuring consistency between architectural, technical, and regulatory requirements.

At the interface of these issues, specification plays a key role in defining facade solutions adapted to the specific constraints of each operation, in close collaboration with all project stakeholders.

In this context, Reynaers Aluminium France provided targeted technical solutions for three distinct areas of the building.

Main façade – horizontal grid with glazing partially set in vertical sections:

The main façade is based on a strong horizontal grid, with glazing only on the vertical sections to achieve a VEC-type façade appearance. This design allows for an architectural reading that is both clean and continuous, while highlighting a structuring horizontal rhythm.

This solution relies in particular on the CW 50 SC system, implemented on the project.

CW 50 FP (fire-resistant) system on the loggias:

Located at the top of the building with panoramic views of Paris, the loggias required a façade solution offering 30 minutes of fire resistance. The CW 50 FP system from Reynaers Aluminium France met this regulatory requirement without compromising the architectural aesthetic. This solution was specifically implemented on the loggias.

CW 50 system with grille front and CD 68 doors, RC3 classification:

The building's entrance, constructed on a steel frame, required a specific technical solution. The CW 50 grille façade system was selected, along with RC3 certified doors (level 3 burglary resistance), meeting the security requirements of this office building.

Black anodized aluminum facades:

All Reynaers Aluminium France products deployed on the Mirabeau Tower are treated in a specific black anodized shade, developed in the anodizing and powder coating plants of the Reynaers group.
