The Jumeirah Burj Al Arab launches a restoration program aimed at preserving its heritage

After more than twenty-five years of continuous operation, this architectural masterpiece will undergo conservation work aimed at enhancing its interiors, with attention to detail worthy of the restoration of a work of art.

Since its opening in 1999, the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab has established itself as an architectural and cultural icon of modern luxury. Its sail-like silhouette has helped shape the identity of Dubai's cityscape. From its inauguration, the hotel redefined international standards, notably with the introduction of personalized butler service, permanently transforming the codes of luxury hospitality.

Following a rigorous selection process, this restoration program, which will last approximately 18 months, will be entrusted to interior designer Tristan Auer, whose mission will be to preserve the identity and prestige of the site. Known for his exacting approach, he is distinguished by his respect for heritage, craftsmanship, and detail, while bringing a contemporary sensibility to timeless spaces.

A leading figure in contemporary interior design internationally, Tristan Auer founded his studio in Paris in 2002, after training under Philippe Starck and Christian Liaigre. Since then, he has designed projects in some of the world's most prestigious locations, from private residences to restaurants, hotels, and luxury resorts, including the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris and the transformation of Les Bains Douches. His distinctive style and contribution to showcasing French craftsmanship have earned him widespread recognition, including the title of Designer of the Year, as well as several major awards in the field of hotel design.
