The CSTB is evolving its organization to better respond to the challenges of the city and the building sector

He is thus establishing departments with new scopes and objectives. These departments aim to promote operational excellence, harmonized and coordinated management of human and financial resources, strengthened knowledge management and sharing, optimized digital transformation, and greater synergy between teams.

Faced with environmental and societal challenges, the CSTB is mobilizing to imagine and shed light on the possible futures of tomorrow's buildings and cities and to create the confidence necessary for renovation and construction projects to contribute to a better quality of life.

To meet this ambition, the CSTB has three main missions:

• it creates and brings together scientific and technical knowledge to support the construction and urban sectors in their transitions;
• it supports innovation and accompanies the transformation of the building and city ecosystem;
• It promotes the performance of construction products and systems so that the market integrates environmental, societal and digital transitions.

The CSTB is developing its organization around five major functions: operations and customer satisfaction, research and the promotion of its research work, knowledge management and capitalization, communication and support functions.

Thus, the CSTB is structured around several major functions:

• Operations, which includes the Operations Department, the Sales and Marketing Department, operational departments and establishment departments providing teams with the resources to conduct their business. They are placed under the authority of the Deputy Director General of the CSTB;
• Research and Innovation, which are coordinated by Julien Hans;
• The DIQCIT brings together the Quality, Knowledge, Information and Transformation departments;
• A General Secretariat which brings together human resources, legal and financial functions;
• External and internal communication.

Thus structured, the CSTB is mobilizing to:

• support the acceleration of transformations in the construction and urban sectors;
• respond to the challenges of the construction and urban sectors by identifying, creating and mobilizing knowledge;
• attract new talent and retain them;
• optimize the customer experience as closely as possible to their needs;
• gain in efficiency;
• develop its European presence.
