Faced with a demand that has accelerated since the health crisis, TERREAL is thus doubling its production of certified and made in France enclosures to continue to deliver to its customers in France and abroad, and thus strengthen its presence with material distributors. .
TERREAL continues to invest in its roofing components business
Lahera, a TERREAL group company since November 2006, specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of roofing components as well as in the development of TERREAL's solar offer since 2008.
Since 2016, a single line has ensured the production of flexible and rigid closures. The new line, intended for the production of LAHE FIRST bi-material flexible enclosures, thus makes it possible to increase production capacities tenfold up to 2 million linear meters per year, i.e. the equivalent of approximately 130 houses per year, and to meet the growing demand of its customers since the health crisis.
"This investment is beneficial both in terms of the quality of the offer, with the possibility of innovation on new materials or new widths, and for the operators on site because by producing on two production lines, we avoid having to resort to the work of night that we experienced during the crisis”, explains Julie Etavard, Functional Accessories Market Manager at TERREAL.
This investment is part of the plan for the operational performance of the TERREAL sites, which resulted in particular on the Lahera site in the installation of laser cutting and thermo-lacquering cabins for roofing accessories in 2018.
A complete range of TERREAL enclosures made in France and QB35 certified
TERREAL thus becomes the largest producer of enclosures in France and the only manufacturer to be QB35 certified for its entire range with two ventilated enclosure technologies: the flexible enclosures LAHE ROLL and LAHE FIRST and the rigid enclosures LAHE-PRO and LAHE -PRO Alu.
The QB35 standard is based on the performance of three criteria: adaptability to tiles (classes G), sealing (classes E) and ventilation (classes V). The combination of these three criteria determines the GEV classification of the closing device and makes it possible to find the most suitable product for tiles.
“By doubling our production capacity, we also intend to position ourselves with our partners, traders and specialized distribution sites, by delivering them a quality product, made in France and certified for their customers”, concludes Eric Risser, Marketing Director of Terreal in France.
