Tellier Brise-Soleil is improving its range of fixings for large slats

The company is now expanding its range of accessories for fixed sunshades with new SpeedFix products, specially designed for the installation of large rectangular blades from the Recti'Ligne range.

A response to architectural trends and technical requirements

Popular for several years, the Recti'Ligne range responds to evolving architectural trends and the growing demands of the market. Comprising around forty blades, ten of which have been developed in the last three years, it covers sections ranging from 50x12 mm to 800x100 mm. The large blades, whether single-piece or composite, are particularly appealing to architects for their aesthetics and their ability to structure facades. Tellier Brise-Soleil's strength lies in its ability to also supply suitable fixing accessories, guaranteeing both simplified installation and long-lasting mechanical strength. The company has therefore focused its efforts on the development and improvement of its SpeedFix system to better meet market demands.

A new generation of SpeedFix: performance and flexibility

Until the end of 2024, SpeedFix fasteners were only available with a fixed 1° installation angle for 50 mm thick slats with a maximum cross-section of 300x50 mm. Tellier Brise-Soleil now offers a complete range of fasteners dedicated to its large slats, with a thickness of 50 mm (cross-sections from 150x50 to 600x50 mm), now offering four installation angles (0°, 15°, 30°, and 45°), and a thickness of 100 mm (cross-sections from 200x100 to 800x100 mm) at 0°, an exclusive on the market. This expanded range offers architects greater design freedom while meeting the RE2020 requirements for solar performance. The new SpeedFix fasteners now allow the use of all slats in the Recti'Ligne range, up to the 600x50 mm model.

The first SpeedFix bracket for 100 mm wide slats (0° angle) has been available for sale since September 2025 and, like the 50 mm models, can be custom-made. These new one-piece SpeedFix brackets maintain rapid installation thanks to their custom manufacturing: drilling and machining are adapted to the facade substrate (concrete, timber frame, joinery, etc.). Tellier Brise-Soleil is also working on developing variable-angle versions, which will incorporate the same principles of modularity and enhanced robustness.

Improvements for large section blades

To address mechanical stresses, particularly those caused by wind resistance, the new SpeedFix fasteners incorporate an extended backing, allowing for multiple fixing points. This ensures better load distribution depending on the substrate, slat dimensions, and weather conditions. This system is especially effective for slats measuring 300x50 to 600x50 mm, fixed at both the top and bottom over long spans.

Another significant development is that this extended back design now allows direct fixing into a concrete substrate using anchors up to Ø12 mm. Entirely custom-made, the brackets can be adapted in width (number of anchors, and fixing method: rivet or through bolt).

A system designed for installers

All SpeedFix bracket ranges are one-piece, eliminating the need for on-site adjustments and ensuring quick, standardized, and reliable installation. Each SpeedFix bracket is supplied as a kit or pre-mounted on a support profile with powder-coated rivets (or bare bolts) for securing the slat. The installer simply selects the appropriate fixings (plugs, bolts, self-drilling screws, etc.) for the wall surface, according to the specific requirements of the project.
