Siniat and Ursa: a complementary approach to more sustainable construction

Innovation and complementarity at the service of construction sites

Etex places environmental responsibility at the heart of its product development. The goal: to innovate while reducing its carbon footprint and improving the well-being of professionals. The complementary nature of its brands also allows it to offer comprehensive and particularly high-performing solutions.

Siniat and URSA present two innovative partition solutions that combine their expertise and offer a genuine alternative to traditional systems. These solutions involve D72/48 partitions (D for distributive; 72 mm for the total thickness of the partition; 48 mm for the thickness of the inner stud). This type of partition is used in residential settings to separate two living spaces.

VivaPure/UPWOOD partition: reducing carbon impact

The VivaPure/UPWOOD solution has a carbon footprint up to 30% lower than that of a standard partition* thanks to its composition incorporating bio-based materials that store CO₂:

• Siniat's VivaPure BA13 STD plasterboard: the first plasterboard in France with a negative carbon impact at the production plant exit, thanks to a formulation incorporating bio-sourced materials of plant origin from sustainable supply chains (launch planned for 2026).
• URSA UPWOOD insulation: composed of 91% wood fibers, labeled bio-sourced (Karibati) and PEFC certified (already on the market).
• Siniat's VivaPure 48 mm upright and rail: manufactured with low carbon steel (electric arc furnace, launch planned for 2026).

With its environmental performance, this partition is fully in line with the objectives of RE2020 to respond to the climate emergency.

PrégyLight UP / URSACOUSTIC partition: improved comfort on construction sites

The PrégyLight UP / URSACOUSTIC partition combines two products designed to simplify the lives of professionals while guaranteeing performance and competitiveness:

• Siniat's PrégyLight UP plasterboard: up to 4,5 kg lighter per board compared to a standard board, for faster and easier installation. This lighter weight improves installation comfort, facilitates handling, and optimizes storage and transport. Made in France, it incorporates 15% recycled material from construction waste (post-consumer).
• URSA's URSACOUSTIC insulation: reference glass mineral wool for partitions, offering excellent acoustic performance (gain of 6 to 9 dB vs non-insulated partition), easy handling, optimized storage thanks to compression and total incombustibility.

In the end, the PrégyLight UP/URSACOUSTIC partition combines productivity, ease of installation and technical-economic competitiveness.
