Siemens Caring Hands donates €50.000 to the Orphan Wards' Charity and the French Firefighters' Mutual Aid Fund

A few days ago, during the General Assembly of the Orphan Wards' Association and the French Firefighters' Mutual Aid Fund (ODP) in Le Mans, Siemens Caring Hands presented a €50.000 donation to the association. Siemens Caring Hands is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 2001 at the initiative of Siemens AG. It embodies the group's social commitment and enables its employees to get involved in humanitarian and social initiatives around the world.

This donation is part of the celebration of Siemens' 175th anniversary in France. This support for the ODP reflects Siemens' values ​​of solidarity and civic spirit, which resonate with the firefighters' sense of duty.

For over 60 years, Siemens has been developing innovative fire detection and extinguishing solutions, training firefighters in their use at the ENSOSP (National School of Fire Officers), and counting among its employees volunteer firefighters engaged within the brigades. This strong and lasting connection with fire safety stakeholders is at the heart of Siemens France's identity.

Founded in 1926, the ODP supports orphans and families of firefighters who have died or been seriously injured in the line of duty. Recognized as a public utility and under the patronage of the President of the Republic, the association now supports more than 1.400 children and families thanks to the solidarity of firefighters and their partners, providing lasting financial, educational, and moral assistance.
