Schneider Electric is staying the course after a "record" year in 2025 driven by data centers

Profits fell by 2% last year to €4 billion. Revenue increased by 5,2%, reaching €40 billion "for the first time," but the group reported a negative currency effect of €701 million in the fourth quarter.

"2025 is a landmark year. Revenue is reaching a record level," commented Olivier Blum, CEO of the electrical equipment giant.

"End-market demand accelerated sharply in the fourth quarter, driven by data centers as well as industries and infrastructure," he added.

Adjusted net profit climbed 4% to 4,8 billion euros, and suffered from "adverse currency effects", Schneider Electric said.

The group anticipates, given current exchange rates, an estimated currency impact on 2026 revenue of between -850 million and -950 million euros.

In 2025 and 2026, it is "mainly due to our strong activity in the United States and the depreciation of the US dollar against the euro," explained Hilary Maxson, the chief financial officer, during a conference call.

"There's not much we can do to mitigate the impact of this high level of activity conducted in US dollars," she continued. Schneider Electric also "experienced currency-related impacts in emerging markets," she noted.

Adjusted EBITDA (operating profit) (excluding one-off or non-recurring events) jumped 12% organically to €7,5 billion.

For 2026, the group is targeting organic revenue growth "between +7% and +10%" and adjusted EBITDA growth "between +10% and +15%".

In the medium term, Schneider Electric confirms its financial objectives, namely organic revenue growth (at constant scope and excluding currency effects) "between +7% and +10%" and an organic increase in the adjusted Ebita margin of 250 cumulative basis points.

Regarding data centers, Schneider specifies that demand is higher in North America, but the group also notes a "strong acceleration" in other regions, particularly in France, the Nordic countries and certain areas of Asia-Pacific.

For industry, the market recorded solid demand in the fourth quarter, while the infrastructure sector benefited from an acceleration during the quarter.

Finally, demand in the building market is almost stable this quarter, even though sales growth remains good, notes Schneider Electric.

North America, where 39% of revenue was generated in 2025, grew by 17,8% in the fourth quarter, driven by the United States.

Western Europe (23% of activity in 2025) grew by 6,0% in the fourth quarter and Asia-Pacific (26%) by 5,8%.

The other regions, included in the "rest of the world" (12% of revenue in 2025), grew by 10% in the fourth quarter.
