Saint-Gobain will sell its sanitary and heating product distribution activities in Scandinavia.

These activities, "mainly under the Dahl brand" which Saint-Gobain, a specialist in construction materials, acquired in 2004, generated a turnover of around 2 billion euros in 2025, with 2.700 employees and 190 points of sale, Saint-Gobain said in a statement.

The transaction is expected to be finalized by "early 2027, after obtaining approval from the competition authorities" and after consultation with employee representative bodies, the French company added.

This "significant" sale is part of the strategy "aimed at continuously optimizing" Saint-Gobain's "business profile," stressed the CEO of the French group, Benoit Bazin, quoted in the press release.

At the end of 2025, Saint-Gobain announced that it wanted to carry out an asset rotation (sales and acquisitions) representing more than 20% of its revenue by 2030 in order to "continue to strengthen growth, profitability and value creation".

For its part, the Finnish buyer Kesko noted in its own press release that it was thus carrying out the biggest "transaction in its history", which should allow it to reach its target of 20 billion euros in revenue in 2030 (12,5 billion euros in 2025).
