Résineo® and Batice renovate the Mesnil-Amelot cemetery: a technical and sustainable solution to modernize the funeral aisles

To carry out this project, the municipality called on the Résineo® / BATICE tandem, combining the technical performance of permeable coatings with the expertise of a local company specializing in the creation of outdoor spaces and all-trades work.

An exemplary construction site of more than 1.200 m2 in Mesnil-Amelot

Several ranges of Résineo® products were implemented for a final result that was both functional – facilitating movement and maintenance – and perfectly integrated into the existing landscape.

The main paths were renovated with the Amber shade of Résineo® Quartz, while the memorial garden was highlighted with a duo of Imperial and Topaz colors.

Around the trees, the Résineo® Arbre coating, made from recycled cork, was applied, combining aesthetics and permeability.

Renovating cemeteries: a growing challenge for communities

This project illustrates a broader trend: that of many communities engaged in the renovation of their cemeteries, faced with floors that have become slippery, degraded, or difficult to access, particularly for the elderly or those with reduced mobility. In this context, the permeable coatings of the French brand Résineo® constitute an effective technical solution: draining and aesthetic, they prevent the stagnation of rainwater while ensuring safe and comfortable circulation, including for wheelchairs. Their smooth surface limits maintenance while guaranteeing increased durability.

Reconciling environmental performance and economic challenges for communities

In a context of necessary soil de-impermeabilization and increasing environmental requirements, Résineo® coatings provide a concrete response to the concerns of communities, both on an ecological level, while not neglecting the economic parameter.

Thanks to their strong drainage power, they allow rainwater to infiltrate at the source and therefore save money on the sizing of traditional collection systems (gutters, directed slope), helping to reduce the overall cost of the project and simplify its implementation.

Another possible lever: depending on the nature of the project, Résineo® coatings may be eligible for aid and subsidy schemes, thus promoting the sustainable commitments made by communities.
