Renovation of a commercial space into a small, healthy apartment with the compact Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100 dual-flow ventilation unit

Specially designed for rehabilitation projects with severe space constraints, it made it possible to meet all the challenges of this project.

A small but complex accommodation!

With a surface area of ​​45 m2, the former commercial premises transformed into a one-bedroom apartment consists of a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom on the ground floor as well as a bedroom upstairs.

To ensure a healthy indoor environment for future tenants by providing fresh air while eliminating humid and stale air in all rooms of this constrained space, the installer had to meet a double challenge:

• discreetly integrate an efficient ventilation system into a small area, without compromising the aesthetics or ergonomics of the premises,
• optimize space to achieve efficient air distribution without encroaching on living space.

Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100, air quality and integration guaranteed

Given the space constraints of this project, the installation of the new Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100 semi-decentralized dual-flow ventilation unit was essential. Built into the wall, it integrates aesthetically into the existing structure thanks to its compact dimensions (L 465 x H 821 x D 216 mm).

The enthalpy heat exchanger ensures heat and moisture recovery, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate while eliminating the need for condensate drainage. With a flow rate of 110 m3/h, Zehnder ComfoAir Fit 100 is fully adapted to the future needs of this small apartment.

The implementation of this dual-flow ventilation system only requires a limited and optimized air distribution network thanks to the CK300 box and the RapidLock connection system facilitating the connection of the ducts.

Thus, it only took two days for the company LE GALL, Installateur Parten'Air* Zehnder, to carry out the drilling in the facade in order to install the external grille for the arrival and evacuation of new and stale air, the installation of the network and the machine.

Thanks to all of its well-thought-out technical solutions, the owner and their future tenants will benefit from accommodation that combines indoor air quality, aesthetics and energy performance.
