Renovation of the Gramme residence in Tourcoing: a project in the digital age with Rehau Window.ID

As part of the energy rehabilitation of the Chaussée Gramme residence in Tourcoing (59), Lille Métropole Habitat (LMH) has chosen to integrate an innovative solution: Window.ID, the digital identity card for windows developed by REHAU Window Solutions.

For Lille Métropole Habitat, the renovation of this residence is much more than a construction site: it's a comprehensive urban revitalization project. With 218 housing units, seven businesses, and a block undergoing major transformation, the project aims to significantly improve residents' comfort, improve energy efficiency, and achieve ambitious standards.

In this context, Window.ID was the obvious choice for choosing new joinery. Thanks to this digital solution, each window becomes a data point, a tracking tool, and a guarantee of transparency.

An ambitious project to improve energy performance

The main objective of the renovation of this 218-unit residence is to improve the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). To achieve this, all the joinery was replaced with REHAU Titanium windows with integrated roller shutters, in addition to external thermal insulation (ETI).

This major project, on which work began in June 2024 and is scheduled for completion in September 2026, represents an investment of more than €10,9 million excluding tax.

Digital intelligence at the heart of the project

It was the company Lemaire SAS, responsible for the manufacture and installation of the 1.533 windows, which integrated Window.ID technology from the workshop.

Thanks to this connected solution, each window has complete traceability throughout its lifecycle. From manufacturing to installation, including maintenance, every step is documented and accessible via a secure dashboard, 7/7.

Installers use the app to photograph each step of the installation process, documenting the installation of accessories (such as handles and shutter cranks). These photos are then included in installation reports, serving as evidence and potentially reducing unjustified claims.

Additionally, Window.ID allows for scheduling future window maintenance and alerting the manufacturer when work is required, ensuring proactive maintenance. The data collected also allows for actual invoicing, which can facilitate financial management of the project.

A solution designed for tomorrow

Already deployed by more than 30 partner manufacturers, with more than 50.000 joinery units equipped by the end of 2024, REHAU Window.ID also anticipates the new European requirements for the Digital Product Passport (DPP). Window.ID thus allows professionals to comply today with future standards in terms of transparency, traceability, repairability and environmental impact.
