QUARCO provides a structured response to current challenges
The new housing crisis has intensified as a result of transformations in the sector
construction. Rising costs and interest rates, fueled by rising material and energy prices since 2020, have complicated the economic viability of projects. New environmental regulations, notably RE2020 and its various application thresholds (2025, 2028, etc.), require significant and costly adjustments to the design and construction of buildings.
For Julien Boudvillain, head of the QUARCO collective: "Our role is to advise. The paradox of our time is that the sector's challenges are also opportunities to do things differently. We have decided to be a player in this change. Our conviction is based on the ability to place engineering at the heart of solutions and on the collective intelligence of our teams."
These opportunities are emerging in many areas, calling for a less dogmatic and more pragmatic response.
- Energy renovation.
- The search for innovative and bio-sourced materials.
- Industrialization of construction processes (modular prefabrication, off-site).
- The rise of elevation and rehabilitation with a growing demand for structural diagnostics driven by zero net artificialization.
- The resumption of tertiary and industrial construction.
Quarco intends to meet the challenges of the sector by focusing on:
- innovation: through the marketing of the wood-concrete connector and the search for new processes and materials meeting future regulations,
- local proximity: by strengthening its presence and deploying its agencies in the regions to be as close as possible to the field and its specificities and to create synergy with local stakeholders.
- transversality: between all the collective's agencies in the territories, in order to cultivate feedback and promote collective intelligence in the service of projects and clients.
QUARCO strengthens its presence in Vendée and creates a new agency to meet its ambitious territorial networking strategy
For Julien Boudvillain, head of the QUARCO collective: "The Vendée is a very dynamic region, which was a natural choice for us. It provides a natural geographical link between our agencies in Bordeaux and the Nantes region. Over the years, we have forged strong ties with many Vendée partners and carried out several projects in the region."
QUARCO intends to develop its relationships with local masonry companies, architects, project managers and developers and offer solutions adapted to the territory and projects.
Daniel Ferchaud heads the Vendée agency with 12 years of experience in field work and design offices. He specializes in renovation, extension, and construction projects in the Vendée region.
A major asset for anticipating issues specific to each project and the region.
Focus on QUARCO projects in Vendée: local momentum for 2025
A committed player in territorial development, the collective is already present in Vendée with several projects currently in collaboration with local stakeholders.

Arrival of new experts for strategic strengthening of the Anglet and Rennes agencies
Already established in the western region through six agencies, the collective aims to expand its network, consolidate the Atlantic arc, from Saint-Nazaire to Anglet, and structure teams to better respond to local challenges in close collaboration with clients and partners.
In Anglet, Julien Irubetagoyena, A confirmed engineer in reinforced concrete structures, he is appointed head of the ABAK Anglet agency, where he uses his in-depth knowledge of the specificities of the region to consolidate existing local expertise.
In Rennes, Maxime Villain, He is proficient in structural diagnostics on all types of materials. He is now head of GRIF Ingénierie Rennes. His mission: to consolidate and develop the business in the renovation, rehabilitation, and industrial sectors.
