Polieco France provides customized stormwater management solutions for the platforms of Nevers train station.

Designed to meet the constraints of an operational railway site, they combine hydraulic performance, speed of implementation, but above all a low weight and the production of custom-made parts.

The works, which began in spring 2025, involve the development of platforms 1, 2, and 3 and the construction of a footbridge equipped with elevators. This major project, with a total budget of €9,9 million, incorporates an ECOBOX DN 600 stormwater collector, complemented by fully custom-designed, accessible HDPE manholes. On two platforms, the installation includes a REGULFLOW flow regulator and KIO composite covers, integrated into the stormwater management system.

Solutions adapted to the constraints of construction sites and railway operations

Sanitation solutions combining performance and material durability

The ECOBOX DN 600 SN8, made from 100% recycled HDPE, collects rainwater and stores it temporarily during heavy rainfall before releasing it gradually through a flow control system. To guarantee consistent and controlled performance, the installation includes: custom-made inspection chambers for easy maintenance and a REGULFLOW regulator that ensures a constant leakage rate (from 0,1 to 10 L/s), thus preventing any risk of network saturation.

The KIO range of integrated covers is a closure and capping solution made entirely of composite material. These components combine lightness, safety, ease of installation, and corrosion resistance.

An environmental approach that is integrated into the project

In addition to their technical qualities, the network solutions implemented by Polieco France incorporate a strong environmental dimension since they are made up of 100% recycled polyethylene from selective sorting: milk bottles, shampoo bottles and laundry detergent containers.

For this project, nearly 140.000 plastic bottles were recycled, demonstrating Polieco's commitment to the circular economy and CSR. The pipes and manholes are also fully recyclable.
