REP PMCB: FFB denounces tariff increases before the opening of discussions planned by the minister

However, while the FFB was pleased to have been heard, others pretended to have understood and made urgent decisions which, in light of the known elements, remain incomprehensible.

Thus, barely after this ministerial announcement, Valobat, one of the main eco-organizations of the REP PMCB, published its new 2025 scale leading to substantial increases in eco-contributions. It also formalized in its communication, in place of the government, the provisions subject to the moratorium, which must nevertheless be the subject of upcoming discussions with professional stakeholders representing the entire value chain.

Enough to question the method and set the powder keg alight in the territories among artisans and entrepreneurs.

The FFB openly denounces this forced passage, despite its repeated warnings in recent days. How can we ask businesses and craftspeople to pay more for fewer services without having addressed the underlying problems of this system? Definition of the producer, visibility on scales, transparency on expenditure allocations, drastic simplification of access to free recovery, simplification of sorting, effective recovery of waste on construction sites and in warehouses... The list goes on.

The FFB calls on the government to demand a rapid return to normal, without anticipating the conclusions of the consultation planned by the minister.

For Olivier Salleron, the president of the FFB: "Enough is enough! We absolutely must stop the costs and for this moratorium to freeze the amount of eco-contributions while the consultations are held. Without a profound change in the way the PMCB REP operates, its future is doomed to failure. Craftsmen and entrepreneurs can no longer continue to suffer the collateral damage of a gas factory whose primary objective has been forgotten: to reduce fly-tipping and encourage the sorting, reuse, and recycling of waste."
