Otis unveils a new generation of 100% digitally integrated connected elevators

Otis launches new Gen360 and Gen3 mobility solutions globally. They natively embed the Otis ONETM IoT solution, which provides real-time information on the status of equipment. Otis ONETM can also provide predictive scenarios for more proactive maintenance - as well as the ability to perform remote diagnostics and interventions.

Otis Worldwide Corp. (NYSE: OTIS), the world leader in vertical mobility, today announced the launch of a new generation of digitally integrated elevators, reflecting today's ultra-connected world. During the international virtual event Welcome to Tomorrow - which brought together customers, employees and actors of the mobility industry, from more than a hundred countries - Otis presented its new mobility solutions Gen360TM and Gen3.

In France, the Gen360 ecosystem is offered to the market. It was designed to meet the current and future expectations of an increasingly connected world, those of passengers, architects, real estate developers, owners and managers of parks.

It is based on 20 years of technological and design expertise developed on the Gen2® range with flat belts to set new standards in terms of safety, performance and comfort.

The Otis ONETM IoT (Internet of Things) solution is natively integrated into the Gen360TM. By collecting and analyzing the data transmitted by the intelligent sensors positioned on the elevators, Otis ONE provides real-time performance data, a proactive flow of information and predictive insights. Otis ONE technology also allows many problems to be solved remotely and safely. Thanks to APIs (Application Programming Interface) integrated in the cloud, the Gen360TM ecosystem can be connected to other intelligent building systems, thus bringing real added value to fleet managers and passengers alike.

The Gen360 ecosystem, designed around a completely new electronic architecture, sets new standards in terms of digital and proactive experience. Its cutting-edge technologies improve design, safety, maintenance, experience and support.

• With the Gen360 ecosystem, architects are free to design buildings with simpler and more attractive flat roofs, as there is no longer a need for a roof kiosk or refuge space at the top of the shaft. A foldable platform, embedded in the cabin ceiling, allows most maintenance operations to be carried out in complete safety from inside the cabin and no longer on the roof thereof.
• Many mechanical safety components have been replaced by "drive by wire" electronic technology, inspired by the automotive and aerospace industries, allowing remote monitoring 24 hours a day, 24 days a week. This increases the overall reliability of the device. equipment and free up space in the shaft to accommodate larger cabins. The new electronic architecture also significantly reduces the risk of downtime. In many cases, the new electronic security system is able to smoothly return the cabin to the nearest floor.

Designed for residential and commercial buildings, new or old, the Gen360 ecosystem is currently already in service in six European countries. It is available in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Switzerland.
