Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, the Norwegian public group Statkraft, has announced the acquisition of the wind power assets of the German Breeze Three Energy in Germany and France.
The transaction, the amount of which is confidential, concerns 39 wind farms in Germany with a total installed capacity of 311 MW and four others in France of 35 MW, 16 turbines in total, in the regions of Normandy, Pays de la Loire and New Aquitaine.
These will be the group's first wind power assets, wholly owned by the Norwegian State in these two countries.
Present mainly in hydroelectric power but also in photovoltaics, wind power and gas, Statkraft currently claims a production capacity of 65 terawatt-hours, 92% of which in renewable energies.
The company employs 4.600 people in 18 countries.
