Based on DTU 59.1, the French technical standard that classifies preparatory, priming, and finishing work according to different levels – A (high-quality finish), B (standard finish), or C (minimum finish) – the Cecil Professionnel white paint range is segmented into three quality levels. This approach addresses market trends and needs, on-site challenges, and offers user-friendly, high-performance, and environmentally responsible products.

Featuring a new, more modern and streamlined graphic identity, the packaging for the Cecil Professional Whites range has also been redesigned to be clearer and more informative, while still reflecting its technical and professional positioning. The quality level is more easily identifiable, simplifying the choice of finish based on the intended use. Ergonomic and easier to open and close, the packaging is made from a minimum of 30% recycled single-material plastics.

3 quality levels: A white for every project

Designed and manufactured in France, Cecil Professionnel undercoats and white paints guarantee the use of high-quality professional products. Rated A+, easy to apply, and with enhanced durability, they offer an impeccable finish on any project.

Before applying any paint, a primer coat is essential. It regulates the absorption of the substrate, prepares the surface, and determines the success of the project. In accordance with DTU 59.1, it improves adhesion and optimizes the aesthetics and quality of the finished product. The primer must be chosen according to the condition of the substrate.
Cecil Professional white paints are available in three finishes – matte, to hide imperfections; satin, to cover walls and ceilings in damp and high-traffic areas; and velvet for easy maintenance of living spaces – and segmented into three quality levels.

Essential – PE 15: For quick and economical projects, these water-based paints have good coverage and dry quickly.

Current – ​​PE 35: For construction sites with the best value for money, these washable paints offer beautiful opaque and filling finishes.

Neat – PE 55: For demanding construction sites, these high opacity and stain-resistant paints offer a perfect smooth finish, a neat finish and long-lasting protection.

Corresponding to the level of finish C (minimum service) in DTU 59.1, the Cecil Professionnel 15 printing/finishing system allows for quick and economical projects, with a uniform finish that tolerates small visible defects.

IP15 plasterboard undercoat: Evens out surfaces

Highly opaque, Cecil Professional IP 15 acrylic plasterboard primer ensures excellent preparation before painting or wallpapering in all rooms, from walls and ceilings to woodwork. Its enhanced opacity masks minor surface imperfections. Its water-based formula seals pores and evens out surfaces. It is easy to apply and dries quickly (recoatable in 3 hours).

PE 15 interior finish: Opaque and quick-drying

Cecil Professional PE 15 acrylic finish offers excellent coverage, concealing minor surface imperfections in just two coats. Easy to apply, it dries quickly (3 hours between coats) for fast work and provides a beautiful white finish. Washable and easy to maintain daily, it is ideal for use on walls and ceilings, in both dry and damp rooms, for new construction or for repairs with minor imperfections. It is available in two finishes: matte and satin.

Standard construction site: the White of efficient construction sites, at the best price

Corresponding to level B of finish (standard service) in DTU 59.1, the Cecil Professional 35 printing/finishing system offers an accessible quality white, with a uniform and homogeneous finish, without visible roller marks or marked difference in shade.

IP35 plasterboard underlay: Masks imperfections

Ideal for walls and ceilings, Cecil Professional IP 35 water-based primer is exceptionally easy to apply. Its excellent coverage conceals imperfections and joints on plasterboard. By sealing new or slightly damaged surfaces, it optimizes the performance of subsequent finishes. Its enhanced opacity covers existing paint, including bright colors.

PE 35 interior finish: Intense and lasting whiteness

The acrylic formulation of Cecil Professional PE 35 paint offers optimal application comfort. Designed for new concrete and concrete-based walls and ceilings, plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces, it provides a smooth, even finish and ensures lasting whiteness thanks to its high opacity and excellent filling power.

Washable and stain-resistant, it is easy to maintain. PE 35 can be applied in both dry and damp rooms, on walls and ceilings.

It is available in matte, satin and velvet finishes.

The high-quality formulation is optimized to provide excellent coverage from the first coat and good filling power.

IP55 multi-substrate underlayer: Universal printing

Universal, the Cecil Professional IP 55 primer adheres to all surfaces: plaster, concrete, cement, brick, fiberglass, wood and wood-based materials, metal, and old paintwork. Its water-based formula, composed of acrylic and alkyd emulsion, offers excellent coverage. Its opacity has been enhanced to conceal imperfections. It reduces stains, evens out surfaces, seals porous substrates, and fixes powdery surfaces. The IP 55 primer improves the aesthetic appearance of the finish. Easy to apply, it dries quickly.

New PE 55 interior finish formula: A perfect and durable finish

Certified with the ECOLABEL, an officially recognized ecological label from the European Union, the new PE 55 Cecil Professional paint meets demanding criteria aimed at reducing its environmental impact throughout its life cycle. It preserves indoor air quality and fully complies with performance tests.

With its high coverage and filling power, from the first coat, PE 55 paint is suitable for walls, ceilings and woodwork, on many substrates: concrete, plaster, plasterboard, old paint, cement, fiberglass, metal, wood… The excellent opacity of the paint promises a perfect smooth finish for a beautiful, neat, streak-free finish that resists the passage of time.

The satin and velvet finishes are formulated with acrylic resin, providing a true protective barrier against various stains, impacts, and friction. Highly washable, they are very easy to maintain and therefore ideal for damp or high-traffic areas (hallways, staircases, living rooms, etc.).

As for the matte finish, its acrylic and alkyd emulsion formula provides high washability and excellent resistance to burnishing. With no visible brush marks, it is perfectly suited for large surfaces and ceilings.
