New VERTI 20+ cellular concrete block: Optimize living space, summer comfort and costs for multi-family housing

Ytong Verti 20+ cellular concrete blocks are particularly suitable for the construction of collective housing or tertiary buildings (nursing homes, police stations, offices, etc.) up to R+4, regardless of the seismic zone.

This solid, solid material, composed of millions of encapsulated micro-air cells, allows the Ytong Verti 20+ block to achieve excellent thermal resistance (R = 1.60 m².K/W) and meet the Bbio RE2020 requirements. The R-value for a complete 30 cm thick wall is 4,90 m²/K/W with 100 mm TH32 ITI + BA13.

Combined with thermal breaks such as the new Ytong Thermostop P6,5 planelles of R = 0,59 m2.K/W for ΨL9 = 0.341 W/(m2.K), the Ytong Verti 20+ block makes it possible to correct thermal bridges in intermediate floors.

Thanks to the high thermal characteristics and perfect airtightness of cellular concrete, Ytong Verti 20+ walls allow you to increase the available living space (SHAB) by 2%, with the same footprint, while being more insulating.

Ytong Verti 20+ blocks limit heat loss and reduce energy bills.

Thanks to their excellent thermal inertia and long phase shift capacity (up to 14 hours), they delay the entry of heat into the home. By regulating temperature variations between day and night, they guarantee a comfortable indoor climate all year round.

Heat release is considerably slowed in summer and is very minimal at night. In winter, the heat emitted by heating appliances is absorbed by the walls, which then release it gradually when the appliances are switched off. The temperature remains stable in the home in both summer and winter.

Furthermore, breathable and certified Excell Zone Verte, Ytong Verti 20+ blocks promote the evacuation of humidity to offer occupants of the accommodation better interior comfort.

Sustainable buildings

Bearing over the entire support surface, the Ytong Verti 20+ block benefits from high mechanical resistance with an Rcn of 5 MPa.

Buildings constructed with these blocks are durable because their thermal performance does not deteriorate over time and remains guaranteed for life.

With an individual FDES sheet made in accordance with the NF EN 15084+A2 standard and a carbon weight of 24,3 kg eq. CO2/m2, the Ytong Verti 20+ block offers collective housing and tertiary buildings a low carbon footprint.

Fire-resistant properties

Non-flammable and incombustible, Ytong Verti 20+ walls benefit from REI 120 fire resistance which ensures high safety for building occupants in the event of a fire.
