New exchange formats are appearing in order to address the major themes of this edition: Preserving the climate and the environment, Living well in the city in 2050, Transforming methods, Promoting professions.
“The men and women of the building industry are at the head of a formidable challenge, they will have the responsibility of enabling France to succeed in its transitions and in particular the decarbonization of the act of building. Faced with this urgency and this immense responsibility, we wanted to give an unprecedented dimension to the conference program of the Mondial du Bâtiment by associating all the players in the building industry but also diverse and inspiring personalities from other worlds. It is in a way a “Davos” of the building that we are preparing. The program of talks for this edition of the Mondial du Bâtiment will be exceptional in terms of its scope, the quality and diversity of the speakers, the number of themes addressed, which will cover the entire spectrum of the sector's problems by putting them into perspective in a more wide: economic, political, environmental, societal and solidarity…” says Guillaume Loizeaud, Director of MONDIAL DU BÂTIMENT.
The conference program is driven in particular by 4 main themes:
- To preserve the environment : The urgency of the fight against global warming is reminded of us every day. Warnings from experts and the multiplication of extreme climatic episodes force us to take our responsibilities. The entire building value chain must be transformed to curb its impact on the environment and preserve life.
- Living well in the city in 2050: In 2050, 70% of the world's population will live in cities. What will cities and our ways of life look like on this horizon? Thinking about the city of 2050 means responding to the many challenges to which city dwellers are already subject.
- Valuing trades: In the digital age, all construction and building trades are undergoing profound change. New collaboration tools, data and artificial intelligence are giving rise to new skills and even new professions.
- Transform methods: Ensuring the ecological transition of the sector, succeeding in its digitization, guaranteeing its economic model and improving its productivity: the building sector is under pressure. Modernizing our methods is essential. Organization of work, production tools, team management, marketing and customer relations: all sites are open.
BATIMAT: a new vision of the challenges of the sector
Under the banner of these 4 themes, the BATIMAT show opens its doors to a wide variety of stakeholders. Philosophers, neuroscientists, teachers… and of course actors from the building world, will decipher the challenges of the sector and the solutions to think about the building of today and tomorrow.
Conference formats have also been redesigned to offer different experiences to visitors, in line with their expectations. Thus, three new meeting formats will emerge, ranging from long speeches to pitches lasting a few minutes:
BATITALKS: An immersion in the heart of the key topics of construction

IDÉOBAIN: 15 conferences focused on 3 themes
Within the Forum Bathroom and Living Interiors, 15 conferences are already scheduled with a third of technical expertise, a third of training and a third intended for architecture and interior design. Interventions by partners are also planned, such as the action center for interior designers and the Home Improvement Club. Finally, the list of remarkable bathrooms will be honored with a focus on remarkable bathrooms since 2017 and a specific book will be presented at the show. The Innovations will also be presented in a Pitch format.
INTERCLIMA: An important part of field experience, training and the evolution of the energy mix
The INTERCLIMA show has imagined a program of conferences co-constructed with the main professional organizations involved in subjects related to energy performance and thermal comfort. All the major themes of the sector will find their illustrations at the show with daily speeches. The main Interclima 2022 themes are: the renovation of tertiary buildings, the improvement of individual and collective housing, indoor air quality: a question of public health, control and productivity on site, the lessons of RE2020 since its entry into force, renewable energies and heat recovery.
Interclima Forum conferences
12 2-hour conference slots have already been confirmed on the Interclima Forum, with 6 to 8 witnesses per session. These sessions are built in partnership with professional organizations representing project owners, including the Union Sociale de l'Habitat (USH), the Association of Territorial Engineers of France (AITF) and the Pôle Habitat of the FFB, prime contractors and maintenance and operating companies, with Synasav. A special session on the technical subject of the evolution of gas boilers towards hydrogen and green gas is also planned.
Air quality: a major theme
A space is entirely devoted to air quality with 56 conference slots and a workshop. Alongside Uniclima, the entire professional sector represented by the new French Ventilation Association will be involved.
IAQ Forum
This space is entirely dedicated to indoor air quality around 20-minute conferences which are divided between speeches by exhibitors and conferences led by the professional sector (Uniclima, Cetiat, French Association of Ventilation, Agence Build Quality…). Participating brands to date: Airzone, Aldes, Atlantic, Daikin, France Air, Hitachi, LG, Sauerman, VMI, Zehnder.
IAQ workshop
This space, run by Uniclima in partnership with the French Association for Ventilation, offers three "serious games" which aim to raise the awareness of the various players (project managers, contracting authorities, installers, operator-maintainers) of quality of
ventilation facilities. The Workshop will be co-hosted by Uniclima, the French Ventilation Association and several partners including Cetiat, AQC, etc.
Feedback Workshops
A new conference format will take place at the show in 2022. A project team comprising at least 3 people, including at least one exhibitor, replaces one or more technical solutions within the framework of a new or renovated building, completed or planned. The aim is to give the floor to project owners, contractors, companies as well as industrialists and demonstrate the overall performance of a building (comfort, air quality, energy, environment).
The mornings are devoted to renovation in a context where the tertiary decree will just come into effect. The afternoons are devoted to new construction in the context of the new RE2020, the tertiary building part of which will be about to come into force.
The 28 planned conferences will last 45 minutes and will follow each other every hour. A space of conviviality is integrated into this workshop to allow visitors to extend discussions with the project team. Participating brands to date: Ariston, Atlantic, BWT, Daikin, Eurovent, Viessman, VMI, Zehnder…
INTERCLIMA Job Connect
On the Careers and Recruitment Area, a rhythmic program will be offered to encourage meetings and exchanges between students, beginners and experienced professionals, and training establishments and centres.
In the morning, conferences of schools and training centers for professionals will be organized to discuss major developments, such as the opening of the new eco-campus in Vitry (94), the transformation of two-year thermal engineering DUTs into Three-year bachelor's degree, or the development of work-study programs...
In the afternoon, job dating will be organized between young people from Île-de-France and the HR managers of INTERCLIMA exhibitors, representatives of professional organizations and visitors being recruited.
