Labor Minister advocates adoption of AI in "all businesses"

AI "is not reserved for geeks, large companies or start-ups but concerns all companies and all professions, whether cognitive, manual or relational," writes the minister.

"Today, only 25% of our companies, including only 10% of SMEs, use AI" and, she recalls, "without a leap forward, the OECD estimates that France would benefit from the lowest productivity gains among the G7 countries".

"Each company is on the front line and must now examine its way of working," believes the minister, who notes that "many employees are ahead of their managers in adopting" AI.

"They 'tinker' discreetly, not without risk to the security of companies' sensitive data," stresses Ms Panosyan-Bouvet.

According to her, it is "social dialogue that will make it possible to create the necessary framework of trust, to develop training and to move from individual use to collective adoption."

President Emmanuel Macron will speak on television this evening to try to assert France's place on the world map of artificial intelligence, on the eve of the Paris Summit on this technology which is to bring together political leaders and business leaders.
