Sylvania Group announces the appointment of Matthieu Brinon. At 53, he takes over as General Manager for France and Southern Europe in order to continue to accelerate the evolution and development of France, Portugal, Spain and Italy. Matthieu Brinon succeeds Hervé Le Guedard who, after 13 years with the company, has exercised his retirement rights and will leave his position on October 1, 2024.
Holder of a PhD in economics from the prestigious Bocconi business school in
Milan, Italy, Matthieu Brinon has over 26 years of solid experience in general management, sales, marketing and communications positions in the construction, automotive and tire industries.
In 1999, he began his career at HILTI France, the world leader in portable power tools, where he held various positions for 7 years before being promoted to Group Manager of the diamond sawing range.
In 2006, Matthieu Brinon joined PIRELLI as Sales and Marketing Director for France and Benelux, successively for the automobile and motorcycle divisions before taking over as General Manager for France in July 2017.
Finally, he joined the Peugeot Motocycles company for more than 3 years as Sales, Marketing & Communication Director with the aim of strengthening the company's position in Europe, on the Chinese market and in the countries of South-East Asia.
