Macron announces 700 million euros in training for "future jobs" and "in tension" in industry

"We are going to massively accelerate training for jobs of the future in industry", with the opening of 15.000 "new places" from the start of the 2023 school year, he said, presenting a plan for the reindustrialization of France.

"These are training courses adapted to needs, as close as possible to the field and which also make it possible to ward off another form of inequality, the distance for many families from places of study which involve costs in housing and transport", said he added.

We must "develop training, sometimes shorter (...) as close as possible to where we live, sometimes in sub-prefectures, small prefectures", he insisted.

For this, "700 million euros will be committed in the coming days and in the year to come to develop the training map at all levels of diploma", added the Head of State.

Mr. Macron also expressed his intention to relaunch the Territories of Industry program, which supports industrial investments likely to have a strong societal and economic impact in cities particularly affected by deindustrialisation.

This program "will be relaunched by changing the map of the 149 territories that have worked and we are going to invest 100 million euros this year", indicated Emmanuel Macron, who thus wishes to support "reindustrialization projects with a strong territorial impact". in territories "even more in difficulty, even further".

Launched on the occasion of the National Industry Council in November 2018, this program, through which elected officials and industrialists have built action plans, has made it possible to build 2.000 actions, with "around 50.000 jobs which are in the process of being creation," according to the state.
