The Lyon-based start-up Chat3D raises 3 million euros

The company, which is experiencing explosive growth, has gone from two founders to nearly twenty employees in less than a year.

An AI that instantly transforms text or an image into 3D

Chat3D develops a generative artificial intelligence technology capable of transforming a simple photo, drawing, or text description into a ready-to-use 3D model in seconds. This model can then be used in video games, animations, virtual reality applications, industrial software, or even be directly 3D printed. The goal is clear: to make creation as simple and natural as a conversation.

A solution already used by professionals… and soon by everyone

Already adopted by video game studios, industrial companies, and independent creators, the Chat3D solution is offered through a web application accessible to everyone, an API for businesses, and customized support for large accounts. The startup also plans to launch a consumer version in October with a simplified interface, a free plan, and premium features for individuals, creators, and students.

A €3 million fundraising round to accelerate development

This fundraising round marks a key milestone for the company. The round brings together three investment funds – Mesh Ventures, Campus Fund, and Innov'Alpes – as well as a group of specialized business angels and Bpifrance. This capital injection will allow Chat3D to strengthen its teams, accelerate the launch of its products, and open new international markets, particularly in North America and Asia.

A clear ambition: to democratize 3D creation

Investors applaud the vision of the young Lyon-based company, at the crossroads of artificial intelligence, digital creation and technological sovereignty.

With Chat3D, they provide a solution capable of seamlessly integrating into the complex workflows of development studios.”

A sovereign, ethical and European technology

Recognized as a Young Innovative Research Company (JEIR) and awarded the DeepTech label by Bpifrance, Chat3D has also forged a technological partnership with Nvidia and collaborates with several public laboratories. It champions a sovereign and responsible approach to AI, with models trained on controlled datasets, without exploiting copyrighted works, and with a 100% European hosting infrastructure.

For the founders, the vision is ambitious but clear: to make 3D a universal language accessible to all, and not reserved for a technical elite.
