The first of two tunnel boring machines that are to bore through the Alps on the Italian side, on the construction site of the future Lyon-Turin rail link, was received on Wednesday, March 11 in Germany, a key industrial step in the gigantic Franco-Italian tunnel project expected by the end of 2033.
