OPPBTP and Qualibat to sign a partnership agreement to strengthen prevention and performance in companies

The Professional Organization for Prevention in Building and Public Works (OPPBTP) and the QUALIBAT Association announced the signing, a few days ago, of a partnership agreement aimed at strengthening prevention in health and safety at work among companies in the building sector.

This partnership reflects a shared ambition: to foster the continuous development of professionalism among qualified companies by integrating occupational risk prevention as a driver of performance and operational excellence. With over 50.000 client companies, including approximately 40.000 RGE-certified businesses, QUALIBAT plays a structuring role in the sector. This momentum is particularly strong among companies with more than 25 employees, 80% of which hold a QUALIBAT qualification or certification, demonstrating the importance placed on quality, competence, and the structuring of professional practices.

Making prevention a component of this professionalism

Sharing a common goal of developing professionalism within companies in the sector, OPPBTP and QUALIBAT have decided to join forces to provide concrete support to qualified companies. The agreement is based on a simple principle: a company's professionalism and performance are not limited to technical mastery of its trades, but also depend on its ability to carry out activities in a safe and healthy work environment, guaranteeing the health and safety of its employees. With this in mind, QUALIBAT and OPPBTP aim to support the prevention efforts of QUALIBAT-certified companies by promoting the use of documentation, tools, services, and resources developed by OPPBTP. The two partners will therefore implement initiatives designed to promote health and safety prevention in the workplace among these companies.

Reciprocal commitments to support businesses

As part of this agreement, QUALIBAT commits, in particular, to promoting among its certified companies the importance of occupational risk prevention as a factor in performance and project success. The association will also disseminate the tools and solutions developed by OPPBTP and encourage the participation of representatives from the prevention organization in its national and regional review committees.

QUALIBAT will also involve OPPBTP in the work undertaken around the future QUALIBAT CSR label, in order to fully integrate health and safety issues at work into this approach.

For its part, OPPBTP will provide QUALIBAT with prevention materials to be distributed to its qualified companies. It will also be able to contribute its expertise on prevention issues within QUALIBAT's committees.

The two partners also commit to relaying certain respective communications and strengthening their exchange of information in order to ensure the consistency of their actions and awareness campaigns.

Structured and sustained cooperation over time

To ensure the proper implementation of the agreement, OPPBTP and QUALIBAT are setting up a dedicated governance based on a steering committee and a monitoring committee.

This agreement marks a new stage in the cooperation between QUALIBAT and OPPBTP to support building companies in a comprehensive approach to quality, performance and prevention.
