With the first round of municipal elections having just taken place, the Hellio group, a major player in energy management solutions, reminds us that local elected officials have concrete levers to implement ecological and energy transition policies, while responding to the immediate expectations of citizens.
The decisions made by the next municipal teams will have a direct impact on public spending, the energy consumption of buildings and the quality of life of residents.
However, in a study conducted with IfopHellio reveals that 80% of French people want their local elected officials to have more power to act in favor of the environment.
Among the actions deemed priorities:
- Energy renovation of public buildings for 80% of French people;
- The installation of solar panels on public establishments for 77% of them;
- Finally, 47% of respondents identified preparing primary schools for the effects of climate change as a priority.
The Hellio Group supports local stakeholders in their energy efficiency projects, such as the municipality of Sèvres-Anxaumont, in the context of the renovation of the nursery and primary school. The results were noticeable from the first year, with energy savings of nearly 40%.
