The exceptional floods of last February revealed the limitations of the current flood prevention and management system in France. While a bill "establishing clear, fair, and equitable governance for flood prevention and management" is being examined in the Senate, associations of elected officials are raising the alarm about the State's gradual disengagement from this crucial area.
